Coldfusion MX 7 Cluster Setup symmetry

Hi,

I'm trying to set-up a coldfusion cluster and load balancer for 2 servers. Basically, each server is almost a mirror image of the other, each running one instance of coldfusion.

Most instructions for cluster set-up seem to say that you open CF Admin on ONE of the servers and add the localhost and the remote server into the cluster. But should I do the same thing on the other server that's participating in the cluster? Does CF reallize that its the same cluster that I'm setting up (I give it the same name on the other server)?

The reason I tend to thing you need to set the cluster configuration on both servers and not just one is because of symmetry. If the main server where the cluster configuration is stored goes down, the whole site won't work because both IISs are pointing to the first server.

Related to this, I still can't seem to get session replication to work. Maybe its because CF/JRUN thinks the two cluster are different and not the same.
